Driving down Wycliffe Road North of the 35, it is easy to speed past the slate-gray facade of the gated gallery without notice. Set back off the thoroughfare, the ivy covered building is nearly distinguishable from the other warehouses that populate this nondescript corner of Dallas. And yet, behind the black iron fence and through the square entryway, lies what is arguably Texas’ best contemporary art space—public or private.

The large facility was purchased in 2013 by Judy and John Martin, founders of Art Dallas Inc. The Martins decided they wanted to expand the space to allow their space to function as more than a gallery, a space for creativity to blossom. By the time it opened in 2014, the space evolved into what feels like a beautiful event space.

Thick white walls surround a large exhibition space dotted with skylights, which flood the interior with natural light and offer a near-ideal setting for large-scale exhibitions, weddings or events of any kind.
